Additionally, the seminar focussed on the environmentally sane use of public health chemicals but underscored that the use of chemicals was a last resort.

Detailed presentations were given by both Jack Arkwright, co-founder and CEO and Muhammad Zaini Bin Abd Rashid, Javelin’s in-house entomologist and former 20 year veteran of the pesticide division of the German chemical company, Bayer Chemical.

The whole seminar delivered the best practice framework of how pest control companies and clients need to work together to effectively solve pest issues and at the same time was long on science and the entomology and biology of pests. There we dedicated sessions on rodents, ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and termites.

The seminar was well attended, by representatives from the hotel industry mainly, but also supermarkets, restaurants, manufacturing, and industry.

All set to kickstart the Singapore Blockchain Week on 26th and 27th November, UCIM has a number of unique sub-events to keep its 800+ global audience engaged. The security of crypto exchanges is often a bone of contention, and Hack-X will challenge and evaluate the same.

The event will welcome some of the most competent ethical hackers, security companies as well as developers to participate in Hack-X. These participants will then be given a task to hack into the listed exchanges and those who successfully deliver the task in the given time will then be rewarded with a bounty.

“Our aim is for exchanges to glance into their security framework, algorithms, protocols and checks & balances at an early stage. It is, of course, better to be hacked by a developer during a challenge than witness a million dollar breach later on,” said Rohan Sharma, Head at UCIM. “We look forward to hosting all the top exchanges,” he further added.

On one hand, Hack-X will mark a checkpoint for exchanges that prove to be safe and tamper-proof. On the other hand, it will be an exciting opportunity for hackers and developers from across the world to unite for a common mission. Hack-X envisions to decode the “security, privacy, and transparency” on which these exchanges thrive.

UCIM is an independent conference that will host high-impact investors, thought leaders, top speakers, and media members from around the world. It aims to “catalyze decentralization in its true essence.”

Like Hack-X, there are several other sub-events under UCIM that offer a platform to network and engage beyond the realms of a conventional conference. The International Pastors ‘and Partners’ Conference of 2018 is happening in under a week and preparations have already commenced. The annual event will take place from the 12th to the 18th of November 2018 in the Loveworld Convocation Arena in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Pastor Chris led church, Christ Embassy, will welcome global partners of the Believers LoveWorld network and their numerous subsidiaries for a week-long convention. The event, known as the IPPC contains a series of conferences, namely International Pastors’ Conference, International Partners’ Conference, International Teens Pastors and Leaders Conference (ITPLC), Loveworld Exhibition, International Media Connectors’ Conference (IMCC), Loveworld Archives, Loveworld Awards and Loveworld International Music and Arts Awards (LIMA), all of which celebrate the many humanitarian, religious and cultural accomplishments of the Believers LoveWorld network.

Some particularly notable parts from previous years have been the Loveworld Exhibition (https://www.pastorchrisoyakhilomeevents.com/loveworld-exhibition-2018-displays-of-glory/) and the LIMA Awards. The Loveworld Exhibition is a huge expo that “features an array of presentations, testimonies and activities geared to the advancement of the gospel” and showcases the church’s many achievements and exploits.

The LIMA awards, a ceremony for a significant part of the cultural aspect of the church, celebrates its many gospel performers and artistes. At the very end, an award ceremony announces the Believers LoveWorld Ministry’s top musicians.

In the most recent communion of this month, Pastor Chris gave an address on the highly anticipated event, saying “This year’s IPPC will be like never before. Get ready for a time of the Spirit.” This statement has since stirred a massive buzz in the nation, prompting organizers to even create additional space in order to fully facilitate everyone.

Dipo Poopola from the Nigerian Loveworld Plus talk-show program expressed the huge sense of excitement of the biggest conference of the year, saying “I know that I will be absolutely blessed by the teachings of Pastor Chris and I’m ready for it.”
