Florida Charter Captain Invents Holding Device for Smartphones

Fort Myers Beach, Florida – Sailing out to sea can be a joyous experience for many, except for those who don’t know how to hold onto their cell phones tightly. All it takes is to lose their balance and drop their phone. One Florida charter captain decided to do something about it.

Captain Paul West has been taking guests out onto the waters off Fort Myers Beach for years. A common occurrence, he’d see happen, is his guests dropping their cell phones. Most people use what West calls, “The tip of the finger grip” which is not a good way to protect a phone from being dropped.

West had the idea of distributing wrist straps, to his guests but then quickly discovered that these straps did not exist. That’s when he had a dream. The idea of a cell phone holder that uses the phone and case people already have. No glues or tapes and holds the phone to the hand.

West spent the next three and a half years, as well as tens of thousands of dollars, developing his invention. After twenty plus versions, he had a patent in his hand and a dream of giving people the chance to experience what his holder could do for them.

The next step was to create a sustainable business. Believing in the three “P” principle, People, Planet and Profit, he partnered up with Living Out of the Box. Giving back has to be a part of our business plan.

“The device I created is simple. It just slips on and off your cell phone,” West said. “There are two sizes available which will fit most cell phones, with or without cases. Slip it on. Put your two fingers through the straps on the back of the phone. The phone is now securely attached to your fingers. The ultra-clear, flexible, touch sensitive lens maintains all of your screen functions.”

The invention has been named “CellGrasp™” and it even has its own website at CellGrasp.com. According to the information on the website, the CellGrasp™ can improve a user’s pictures, videos, and selfies by keeping their cell phone securely in their hand with very little shaking. Now people can concentrate on the content, not the grip. Better quality, instantly.

Studies show 23% of cell phone users have cracked screens. Most people drop their phones. It is no surprise that people are starting to take notice of CellGrasp™.

Three IIT Kharagpur students to join infofree.com as interns during 2017 summer

OMAHA, NE – 21 Feb, 2017 – Three current IIT Kharagpur students will be joining the infofree.com team this upcoming summer for a once in a lifetime internship.

The three students, their course of study, and some of their areas of interest are as follows:

Sayan Mandal is currently a 3rd year undergraduate student studying to obtain a Dual Degree (B.Tech and M. Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering. Sayan is interested in machine learning and all of its related fields.

Jayesh R is studying within the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VSGOM). Jayesh is hoping to gain industrial experience and increase management skills both within his degree program and while holding this role as an intern.

Naman is also studying within VSGOM and wants to learn more about business development and the client side of this process. Prior to this he has worked in a number of different roles that have allowed him to gain a better understanding of marketing.

These three students will have the opportunity to learn about the business process and work closely with those at infofree.com. Infofree.com was founded by Mr. Vinod Gupta who is also an IIT Kharagpur graduate. Mr. Gupta has given back to IIT Kharagpur in countless ways and truly transformed education at IIT Kharagpur by founding the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VSGOM), which has become a Tier-1 business school in India. He also gives back to many other initiatives being pioneered at IITKGP (e.g., infrastructure growth, scholarships, etc.) and created this internship program to help IIT Kharagpur students to use their current skills and facilitate professional development. The three interns this coming summer will have an experience of working within the innovative environment of InfoFree in addition to gaining knowledge for their future!

ATLANTA, GA – 21 Feb, 2017 – AXXOS – member of the API Maintenance Systems Group – signed an agreement with Volvo Cars (Volvo) for the implementation of the production monitoring system, AXXOS OEE in Volvo’s new production facility located in Torslanda, Sweden. The agreement include networked production monitoring with about 400 production units and is currently the single largest order recorded for AXXOS.

Volvo selected AXXOS OEE after careful evaluation of seven competing systems and after a successful pilot installation within a focused area of the factory.

ADM Tronics Reports Third Quarter of Fiscal Year 2017 Results

NORTHVALE, N.J., Feb. 21, 2017 / — ADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. (ADMT), a technology-based developer and manufacturer of innovative technologies and products, today announced results for its third fiscal quarter of Fiscal Year 2017, ended December 31, 2016.

Revenues for the nine months ended December 31, 2016 were $3,914,281 as compared to $3,354,197 for the nine months ended December 31, 2015, an increase of 17%.  Income from operations for the nine months ended December 31, 2015 was $909,597 as compared to $324,199 for the nine months ended December 31, 2015, an increase of 180%

Revenues for the three months ended December 31, 2016 were $1,156,512 as compared to $1,045,388 for the three months ended December 31, 2015, an increase of 11%, marking ADMT’s 14th consecutive quarter of increased revenues.  Loss from operations for the third quarter was $39,910 as compared to income of $237,570 for the same period last year, a decrease of $277,480.

Timothy Gilmartin, Vice President Production at ADMT commented “We are elated by our continued growth in revenues.   New and increasing orders are growing at such a rate that our backlog is growing.   This is a good ‘problem’ to have, and we are taking the steps to solve it.  We obtained and installed new state-of-the-art additional equipment during the last quarter. As I mentioned in our announcement of February 8, 2017, ‘The addition of the automated CNC machine tool equipment further distinguishes ADMT from its competition.  In my over three decades with ADMT this is the most dramatic expansion of equipment and capacity we have installed.’  I believe this is now propelling ADMT to the status of being the company of choice for engineering and developing the most advanced electronic medical device technologies.” 

ADMT CEO Andre’ DiMino added, “We are investing in our future by adding leading-edge equipment and by ramping up our research, development and engineering activities specifically for ADMT’s suite of proprietary products.  The expenses related to this investment in our future resulted in a loss from operations for the December 31, 2016 quarter.  However, realizing these expenses in the 3rd quarter bodes well for the Company’s growth in our 4th quarter of this year, and for years thereafter.”  Mr. DiMino concluded, “Furthermore, I am particularly pleased that our income from operations for the first three quarters of this year is up 180%, which is almost triple the income from operations from the first three quarters of last year.  We continue to deliver on all of our goals, and we are determined to bring ADM Tronics to the forefront of the electronic medical device industry.”
