PUERTO RICO APPOINTED TO REPRESENT INTERNET USERS IN THE NORTH AMERICAN REGION

Javier Rúa Jovet, Esq.  selected by ICANN to represent and oversee the rights of millions of Internet users in the region

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – 9/9/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — The President of the Puerto Rico Telecommunications Regulatory Board (PRTRB), Javier Rúa Jovet, Esq. has been selected, after a rigorous process, by the Nominations Committee of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to a global committee in charge of overseeing the interests and rights of Internet users. Rúa Jovet will represent the North American region, including Puerto Rico, estimated at 300 million people. This honorary designation to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), which does not involve any type of compensation, will be effective for two years starting in November 2016.

The At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) is composed of 15 members, two appointed for each of the five regional organizations and five members selected by the Nominating Committee (NomCom) of ICANN. NomCom is mandated to ensure ICANN demonstrates its overall leadership, geographical and cultural diversity, as well as its capacity, experience and perspective. Selection criteria to ALAC requires candidates with proven integrity, objectivity and reasonable criteria, who can support the group’s decision making, can work effectively in English and understand the mission and functioning of ICANN.  The candidates must be committed to attaining success, have experience in global issues, contribute to cultural, professional and geographical knowledge and can work hard, to accomplish global public trust.

This ad honorem appointment will allow us to contribute to the creation and strengthening of fair public policies alongside with the domains and names system enacted and administered by ICANN.  We will work to ensure the Internet continues to serve the global public interest and our region adequately. Even though the project is complete, the assets used are the standard graphics that comes with RPG Maker and the funding that is being raised is to hire a Professional Graphic Designer to completely overhaul the art in the game and the rewards allow for the characters in the game to be named and designed to the winners classification.

RPG Maker has been used to create an action, Role-Playing Game with a very classic feel. There are hours and hours of action and drama with many side missions that add twists and turns to the sprawling story of Good verses Evil. You will also come across several characters who will be willing to join the fight, bringing their own unique fighting style to the party.

In the game, you take control of a hero who has lost his memory and is helping a town by performing small tasks when he is thrown into the middle of a fight to try and save people from being taken over while still trying to find out who he is and where he is from.

Every single AI character will have a purpose within the game as either part of a mission or a seller, there are absolutely no “useless” AI. There is a whole bunch of side missions that will give you a chance to learn about the characters, their families and the history of the region as well as providing new team members to fight alongside.
